Strength Coaching

Strength training enhances your quality of life and improves your ability to do everyday  activities. Strength training protects your joints from injury. Building muscle also  contributes to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. Strength coaching does  not just prepare you for sports it helps prepare you for life!

What to expect for your first appointment
& how treatment works

At your first appointment, our strength coach will review your health history as well as  discuss and determine your unique goals for care. From here, you will be taken through  a functional movement assessment, which allows your coach to develop a training  program that is tailored to your health and performance goals. 

Prior to your first appointment, intake forms will be sent to you via email, which you may  complete at home and send back. You may also arrive 15 minutes early to your  appointment to complete the forms at the clinic. Please ensure to bring/wear workout  clothing and the appropriate footwear. 

At Foundations, we will create a personalized program that best meets your needs and  goals. We recognize that no two patients are the same and as such, we have created  different types of training sessions. Sessions can be 30, 45 and 60 minutes in duration.

Simply put, everyone! Strength training puts emphasis on the fundamental human  movements which every person should be able to perform to live a healthy, active life.

These movements act as the building blocks of more complex movements and actions.  Therefore, whether you are just starting your movement journey, or you are an athlete  looking to finetune your skills, you can benefit from strength coaching! Our coach will  help you work towards any goal(s) you may have, whether it is lifting a certain weight,  running a particular distance, or even simply getting down on the floor to play with your  little ones. 

Those seeking rehabilitation care to either return to sports or to become more mobile in  life will also benefit from this service, as the strength coach typically works alongside  your chiropractor or massage therapist to develop and implement your care plan.
