Consult with Our Registered Dietitian
Our dietitian at Foundations uses a whole foods approach to help you optimize your health and treat any nutrient deficiencies. Our dietitian will guide you towards achieving a healthy body weight, manage gastrointestinal symptoms and conditions, and ensure that your diet contains the appropriate nutrients, and much more.
Before your initial consultation, you will receive two sets of forms to be completed prior to your visit, along with a food log to help gather a starting point for your health journey. These forms will look at your individual goals, health and personal history, and food intake. It is important to look at all aspects of your life in order to create a detailed, customized nutrition plan for you.
What to Expect from Your First Visit
During your initial visit, the dietitian at Foundations will conduct a thorough assessment, which includes a review of your health history, nutritional goals, weight history, food preferences, intolerances and usual dietary intake. This allows the dietitian to an individualized nutrition care plan. This typically takes around 60 minutes.
How the Treatment Works
During your second appointment, you will receive a report on the dietician’s findings, including dietary, supplementation, and lifestyle recommendations.
The nutrition care plan may include a meal plan with associated educational resources on suggested foods to consume based on your nutritional assessment.
After the second appointment, follow-ups are recommended, so our dietitian can provide ongoing education and support to ensure you are attaining your desired results and make any changes to your nutrition care plan as needed.
