Chiropractic Care

Our chiropractors will develop a personalized treatment plan using a manual approach to improve and optimize your health. Chiropractors are trained to diagnose and treat issues affecting bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, and nerves throughout the body – from head to toe!

Your treatment plan may include:
  • Joint manipulation/mobilization: Gentle adjustments to improve joint mobility and function.
  • Soft tissue therapy (ART® or Graston®): Techniques to target muscle tension and pain.
  • Modalities: Technologies like interferential current, ultrasound, or laser to promote healing and pain relief.
  • Lifestyle changes: Advice on posture, exercise, and nutrition to support your overall health.
  • Rehabilitative exercises: Exercises designed to strengthen muscles, improve flexibility, and prevent future problems.

What can I expect?

At Foundations Chiropractic, we believe that a healthy spine is the foundation for overall well-being. Whether you’re an athlete seeking peak performance or someone simply looking to improve your quality of life, our chiropractors can help you achieve your goals.

Your initial appointment at Foundations Chiropractic is focused on getting to know you and your health concerns. Our chiropractor will:

  • Discuss your primary health concern and general health history.
  • Perform a thorough physical examination to provide an accurate diagnosis.
  • Develop a personalized treatment plan specifically designed for your needs.

We encourage you to ask questions throughout the appointment!

To ensure a smooth first visit, please:

  • Arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork (or fill out forms emailed in advance).
  • Wear clothing that allows easy examination of the area of concern (e.g., shorts for knee injuries, tank top for shoulder injuries).
  • Bring any imaging reports (X-ray, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound) related to an injury.
  • Provide a list of your current medications.

Your first appointment typically takes 45-60 minutes. Treatment often begins on the first visit, though complex cases may require further evaluation and testing before starting treatment.

For more information on chiropractic care in general, please visit the websites of the Ontario Chiropractic Association and the Canadian Chiropractic Association.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first appointment to fill in paperwork, or we can email you the forms, and you can fill them out in advance.
